FALL BACK TO SLEEP QUICKLY – Day AT2T

FALL BACK TO SLEEP QUICKLY

A two-round AT2T™ practice + your personal SomaticTAP™ ProxyPoint

Sometimes waking up during the night isn't the problem.

The problem is staying awake once you're awake.

This practice is designed to be done during the day, when you're fully awake—not in the middle of the night when the last thing you need is another activity to do.

We're going to do two rounds of AT2T™.

But there's another reason we're doing this practice during the day.

We're also going to find your SomaticTAP™ ProxyPoint—the tapping point your body seems to respond to most naturally.

BEFORE WE BEGIN

If this is your first time tapping, don't worry about memorizing anything.

I'll tell you exactly where to tap as we go.

These are the tapping points we'll use:

Eyebrow — near the beginning of either eyebrow.

Side of Eye — beside the outside corner of either eye.

Under Eye — on the bone beneath either eye.

Under Nose — between your nose and upper lip.

Under Mouth — in the crease between your lower lip and chin.

Collarbone — around the collarbone point.

Under Arm — on the side of your body beneath your arm.

Top of Head — gently tap the crown of your head.

As we move through the points, pay attention to how your body feels.

You aren't looking for anything dramatic.

Maybe one point makes you breathe a little easier.

Maybe your jaw unclenches.

Maybe your shoulders drop.

Maybe you notice a sigh.

Maybe you simply feel a little more settled.

If one spot seems to create the clearest physical response, make a mental note of it.

We'll call that your ProxyPoint™.

You may use that point later if you wake during the night.

ROUND ONE

EYEBROW

I AM a person who falls back to sleep easily.

SIDE OF EYE

I SEE nighttime waking as brief and temporary.

UNDER EYE

I FEEL my body soften when I close my eyes.

UNDER NOSE

I KNOW my body remembers how to sleep.

UNDER MOUTH

I UNDERSTAND how to fall back to sleep quickly.

COLLARBONE

I DO return to sleep quickly and naturally.

UNDER ARM

I TRUST sleep to return without effort.

TOP OF HEAD

I ALLOW myself to return to sleep without trying.

ROUND TWO

EYEBROW

I AM calm when I wake during the night.

SIDE OF EYE

I SEE myself waking briefly and returning to sleep.

UNDER EYE

I FEEL comfortable letting my body return to sleep.

UNDER NOSE

I KNOW waking briefly does not mean my night is over.

UNDER MOUTH

I UNDERSTAND that my body knows what to do.

COLLARBONE

I DO let thoughts pass without following them.

UNDER ARM

I TRUST myself to fall back to sleep quickly.

TOP OF HEAD

I ALLOW sleep to return naturally and easily.

IF YOU WAKE DURING THE NIGHT

You do not need to repeat the full rounds.

You don't need to remember all the statements.

You don't need to turn falling back to sleep into another task.

Go directly to the tapping point where you noticed the strongest physical response during the daytime practice.

That's your ProxyPoint™.

Tap there gently and repeat:

> I fall back to sleep quickly.

That's it.

One point. One statement. Back to sleep.

And if the area around your mouth was particularly effective, you can also try the combination of Under Nose + Under Mouth as one quick ProxyPoint sequence:

Under Nose. Under Mouth.

> I fall back to sleep quickly.

The daytime practice is where you teach and observe.

The middle of the night is where you keep it simple.
